Arrived late Saturday afternoon after a painless 5.5 hour drive from Calais, tolls around £50 with plenty of service stations en-route.

Greeted with a cold beer by our host Nic upon arrival, followed by a very knowledgeable lake & amenity walk prior to choosing our swims. Very clean mobile home with hot shower, seating & kitchen, and external exo toilet. There are several UK charging points above the fridge & freezer, which are all available 24/7. The lake is approximately 4.5 acres, long & narrow, NO WEED, Poisson chat or crayfish 😀. The margins are slate with a clay bed, although no waters are easy, Coron would suit the not so experienced European angler or anglers that put quality over weight.

The water is unspoilt and un-commercialised, overhanging trees, dark murky margins, reed beds etc, loads to go at. We chose Rolo’s & the Right Hand Double Swim, both with plenty of room and water ! Within 6 hours that magical dulcet tone off a delk screamed off, a beautiful 39lb bar of gold graced the bank 20

minutes later 👊.

The rest of the week was just pure magic, banger after banger, the most stunning fish I and my pal have ever caught ! So nice to get away from the force fed Fat French Pig venues full of scale watchers, this is proper carping, definitely be back !
